Cheap Xbox 360 Games

Here are some cheap Xbox 360 games of note, having gone through the online bargain bin with a fine sieve. The criteria to be listed include having a price tag under USD 30, preferably compatible with the Asian version of the Xbox 360 and of course the game has to be in English.

Some of the games listed below do not have region protection (yay!)
  • Bullet Witch - Asian Version - NTSC-J ~ USD 24.90 (click here for details)
  • Moto GP '06 - Asian Version - No Region Protection ~ USD 24.90 (click here for details)
  • Perfect Dark Zero Limited Edition Tin Box - Asian Version - NTSC-J ~ USD 14.90 (click here for details)
  • Prey - Asian Version - No Region Protection ~USD 17.90 (click here for details)
  • Quake 4 - US Version - No Region Protection ~ USD 24.90 (click here for details)
  • Shadowrun - Asian Version - NTSC-J ~ USD 29.90 (click here for details)
  • Test Drive Unlimited - Asian Version - NTSC-J ~ USD 29.90 (click here for details)
So for the price of one "Trash Talk" from Datel, you can probably get one of the games listed above and for some of them, will leave you with some change to spare.

With so many Xbox 360 games available and the promising potential of Play-Asia's
bargain bin, you would probably be asking why have I not purchased that console yet? It's simple, I don't wish to be shafted by the 3ROD syndrome that is afflicting Xbox 360s worldwide. Therefore the Xbox is not in my list of must-haves this year... but I'll definately get one in 2008.

Hopefully Microsoft would resolve their hardware problems (with a new revision perhaps?) by t, as they are already giving Windows users the shaft on a daily basis.

Last Day of Play-Asia Sales for Video Games and Accessories!

It's the last day of the Play-Asia Summer Smoothie Sale and you probably have around 16 hours to make your purchases before the promotion ends. There are still a few notable items up for sale, such as Hori's Liquid Crystal Filter for the DS Lite, DS Lite USB Power Charge Cable, Final Fantasy III, and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and Castlevania: Potrait of Ruin.

So don't miss out on this and make your way to Play-Asia. Just don't buy the stuff...tomorrow :P

Time of the Season for Play-Asia's Sale!!!

Nothing gets me going better than a sale. If you are looking for video games and collectables, drop by Play-Asia as they are having their Summer Smoothie (wonder who thought this up) sale where its 20% off for everything in stock. Click here for further details.

Since PA has a wide variety of games for different platforms, I'm only listing my picks for the Nintendo DS (click on the titles for purchasing details):
Some of these titles hit a sweet spot at around RM 100 each, pretty good bargains I would say, considering they are not bargain bin items in the first place. So, what should I get? Maybe Puzzle Quest or something else? I'm pretty much up to my neck with puzzle games.

One word: Sales! If you are like me, someone who is on the look out for bargains on console games, such as games for the Nintendo DS, you'd probably be interested in Play-Asia's Crazy Week. Click on the image for further details:

Over Budget

One of my favourite online retailer for video games is having its annual Chinese New Year sale. I ended up going on a mini shopping spree despite being over my monthly budget for video games (and accesories). Having initally spent my allocated cash on two secondhand games, the shopping spree gleaned one new game, one accesory and one postcard book (I love postcards). All of which are now sold out!

There are plenty of discounted items available in Play-Asia.com's CNY sales (click here)and I thought it would be nice to mention this in my blog. After all, no one wants to miss a good bargain. The Nintendo DS section of the sale has been a happy hunting ground for me and despite the shrinking list (it stands at 13 pages of items compared to 18 when the sale started), there are some notable titles such as:
  • Winning Eleven DS (JAP) (USD 9.90), click here
  • Monster Bomber (USD 14.90), click here
  • Star Fox DS (JAP) (USD 14.90), click here
  • Cooking Mama (USD 19.90), click here
  • Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Best Price) / Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All (JAP) (USD 24.90), click here
  • Scratch! Viewtiful Joe (JAP)(USD 24.90), click here
  • Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon (JAP) (USD 29.90), click here
  • Kaitou Wario the Seven / Wario: Master of Disguise (JAP) (USD29.90) , click here
Nintendo DS users who are looking forward to some Nintendo WFC lovin' but not having a wireless router or access point to go online, should get the WiFi Max USB WiFi Adapter which is selling at a discounted price of USD 22.90; click here for details.
